Participate in the annual 20 Minute London Makeover and Community-Wide Clean Up Day

The City of London and London Clean & Green are encouraging all businesses and schools to participate in the 20 Minute London Makeover this Friday by tidying up outside your business, home office or school. Participants across London will spend 20 minutes sweeping, tidying, and making a big difference together in their community. Londoners can participate in the 20 Minute Makeover at anytime on Friday, but many will be doing their part starting at 2:00 p.m.

Following the 20 Minute London Makeover on April 19, residents can also participate in London Clean & Green’s Community-Wide Clean Up Day on Saturday, April 20. Numerous community-led clean-ups across London take place this Saturday from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.

“There are so many opportunities to participate this year, and we are incredibly grateful to all our London Clean & Green volunteers, partners and sponsors who have organized clean-up events,” says Jay Stanford, Director of Climate Change, Environment and Waste Management. “20 minutes of cleaning can make a huge difference when we all participate, so let’s put on our gloves, grab a bag, meet up with friends, colleagues, or family, and help clean up in the community.”
