Free 2-hour parking promotion in Core Area coming to an end

The free 2-hour parking promotion, which was brought in as a temporary measure through the Core Area Action Plan to support businesses during construction and extended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be coming to an end at the end of March.

In June 2023, City Council directed that the temporary HONK promotional code “CORE” be extended to March 2024. The end date for this program will be Sunday, March 31. While the “CORE” promo code is ending, the HONK app is still available for residents to use to pay for parking in City-owned lots and curbside metered spaces.

The Core Area is defined as an area which includes downtown, Richmond Row, and Old East Village (see image above). This area also encompasses most of the Old East Village and London Downtown Business Improvement Areas (BIA).

All City-managed and owned lots are identified with a white "P" symbol on green background. For those that work in the downtown, most lots managed and owned by the City of London offer monthly passes at a discount.
