Urban Design Awards Winners Announced

Today, the City of London hosted the 2015 Urban Design Awards to recognize, honour and promote excellence in urban design in London. The program seeks to raise the bar on urban design by awarding projects that represent excellence, innovation and visionary thinking.

“These awards celebrate innovative designs and concepts that turn our public spaces into more livable and vibrant spaces,” said Mayor Matt Brown. “Great urban design is a key ingredient in building a better city for all.”

“We all need to recognize that London is embroiled in an ongoing competition with other cities across the world for talent. The quality of city we build together will play a large role in our ability to attract the best and the brightest and the investment that follows them. The projects that we are celebrating today represent award winning urban design quality and will help London achieve Council’s goals for prosperity,” said John Fleming, Managing Director of Planning and City Planner.
