See firsthand what trucks and equipment are used to provide services to Londoners

More than 20 trucks and several pieces of equipment will be on display at Earl Nichols Recreation Centre for the public to interact with.

Ask questions, learn about the different trucks and equipment, and participate in activities.

Kids activities include:

  • Paint the plow – Help add some colour and creativity to the front of one of our City snow plows. The plow will then be used next winter!
  • Dress up and take photos – A photo station will be available for children to wear hard hats, vests, and other personal protective equipment. Kids are also encouraged to come dressed up if they choose!
  • Participate in colouring stations – Colouring sheets of some of your favourite trucks will be available. Share your creations with City staff or take them home with you!

About National Public Works Week (May 19 – May 25, 2024)

National Public Works Week is a time for us to celebrate the City of London’s public works teams.

Public works contributes to our quality of life in so many areas – our transportation network, water, wastewater and stormwater treatment, public buildings and spaces, parks and grounds, and solid waste management, to name a few.

Join us at our Touch a Truck event on May 25, 2024, in recognizing our public works teams for all they do to serve the community.
