Intensive Case Management
Intensive employment program offers enhanced supports with addressing difficult challenges when trying to find work. Caseworkers develop a relationship with each participant on their caseload through regular contact, including “drop in” times. Wrap around employment and community supports, including attending meetings and appointments in the community, are also provided. For more information, please speak with your Ontario Works Caseworker.
Learning, Earning and Parenting is for young parents up to age 25 in receipt of Ontario Works that have not completed high school. LEAP supports participants by assisting with school costs and fees, childcare costs, transportation costs and access to employment supports and resources. A $500 incentive is paid to participants upon completion of the three LEAP components to allow LEAP graduates to further their education or save for the education of their child.
Ontario Works, in conjunction with the Small Business Centre, delivers a self-employment program for individuals interested in starting their own business. The program is available for individuals receiving assistance who have the necessary skills, experience and motivation, along with an eagerness to learn. To discuss a referral, please contact your Ontario Works Caseworker.
