The Outdoor Movie Nights Program is available to residents and neighbourhood groups interested in providing a free public movie viewing in a City park. Organizers are required to provide the film and promote the event to their neighbourhood. The City provides the equipment (screen, projector, media player, speakers), license for a public viewing, set up and take down of equipment, and two City staff.
This program is for resident-led and neighbourhood-based groups only. Schools, school councils, faith based organizations, place of worship, businesses, or non-profit organizations may not apply.
Movies may be shown between May 31st and September 22nd. Please note, due to staff limitations, not all dates are available.
The application will be open between February 1st and March 29th. There are a limited number of movie nights available so not every applicant will be able to participate in the program. Priority will be given to groups that have not participated in the past and groups that are organizing other activities (food, games, etc.) to make the event an opportunity for neighbours to connect.
For groups that are not selected to participate in the Outdoor Movie Night program, a City of London Community Developer can provide guidance and support to organize one independently, using other community and City resources.
