Licensing is a very important part of being a responsible owner. Licensing not only helps link an owner to a lost pet but helps provide funding for:
- Trap Neuter Return for feral and community cats
- Low income spay neuter subsidy initiatives
- Adoption initiatives
- Off-leash dog parks
Be sure that your pet is wearing a current dog or cat tag. It is mandatory. Licences or tags are one of the best investments you can make to protect your pet.
Starting in 2016, each pet owner will be issued a stainless steel dog and/or cat tag engraved with the issue year and unique serial number. The number engraved on your new tag will now become your pet’s permanent tag and unique identification for the life of your pet.
