Free menstrual products available in city facilities

Visitors to London recreation facilities will find menstrual products available free of charge in washrooms at City facilities throughout London.

In total, sixty-five recreation facility washrooms, some Ontario Works offices and City Hall will provide the products. This includes every indoor or outdoor aquatics facility, arenas, and community centres across the city.

In April, council approved the motion to extend this service in the City of London. The products that will be available are tampons and pads. Depending on the size of the facility, they will either be in coin-free dispensers or on stainless steel trays. They will be available in one universal washroom in each location where there is one, or in one men’s and one women’s washroom.

Look for the decal below to find where these products will be available. (The decal is a light green circle, denoting "FREE menstrual products here," with images of a pad and a tampon.)
