Tree Protection By-law Applications


Distinctive Tree Application

This process pertains to an application to Injure and/or Destroy Distinctive Tree(s).  "Distinctive Tree" means a Tree that has attained a trunk diameter of 50cm or greater, measured from Natural Ground Level to 1.4m above Natural Ground Level, that is located on a property within the Geographic area of the Urban Growth Boundary excluding the Tree Protection Area.

TPA - Individual Tree Application

This process pertains to an application to Injure and/or Destroy any tree(s) within a Tree Protection Area.  "Tree Protection Area" means any geographic area of the City that appears as a tree Protection Area on Schedule D of the Tree Protection By-law.

TPA - Cemetery or Golf Course Application

This process pertains to an application to Injure and/or Destroy any tree(s) within a Tree Protection Area which are Cemeteries or Golf Courses.  "Tree Protection Area" means any geographic area of the City that appears as a tree Protection Area on Schedule D of the Tree Protection By-law.

TPA - Forestry Management Application

This process pertains to an application to Injure and/or Destroy Tree(s), for Forestry Management, within a Tree Protection Area as defined by Schedule D of the Tree Protection By-law

 

City Hall Fee Collection

  • Fees will be accepted at City Hall over the phone or in-person.
  • City Hall is open for payment Monday through Friday (except holidays) from 8:30AM to 4:30PM.
  • Applicants can call 519-661-CITY (2489) and press 0 to speak with a Customer Service Representative to assist with payment by credit card.
  • You may pay by Visa, Debit, MasterCard, American Express, Cheque and Cash.
