Beginning Tuesday, June 11 until Friday, June 14, 2019, London Hydro will require the north lane of King Street to be closed between Clarence Street and Richmond Street from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, to complete hydro work necessary for maintaining progress on nearby core construction projects. The protected bike lane (opening Thursday) will not be affected, but motorists and transit users should expect significant delays if travelling east on King Street and/or north/south on Richmond Street.
During this time, bus stops east of Richmond (stops 2735 and 1086) will be closed. Instead, transit riders should use the bus stop at Richmond and Clarence (stop 1080) and are reminded to use realtime.londontransit.ca or Google Maps for up to date arrival information. If driving, download the Waze app to find an alternate route or consider using Horton Street.
London Hydro work on King Street will continue during the week of June 17 at the Richmond and Clarence intersections. More details to be released prior to this work starting.
