This meeting is a community information meeting which the City’s Planning Department at times convenes when, in the opinion of the Managing Director, Planning and City Planner, the community should have a further opportunity to obtain information regarding a planning application. There will be a future public participation meeting required under the Planning Act, held at the Planning and Environment Committee, which will give you an opportunity to comment to Municipal Council on the planning application.
Personal information collected at this meeting is collected under the authority of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 and may be used for the purpose of informing you of future information meetings and Statuary Public meetings relating to this matter.
Community Information Meeting for the City-initiated Zoning By-law Amendment at 723 Lorne Avenue (File Z-8454)
The City of London will host a community information meeting and workshop to guide the City-initiated change in zoning for the former Lorne Avenue Public School property. Your participation at this event and comments will help City staff prepare a Zoning By-law Amendment to permit the reuse and redevelopment of a portion of the property for a neighbourhood park and a potential range of new land uses complementary to the neighbourhood. City staff will provide a brief presentation at this meeting and be on hand to answer questions. There will also be a workshop session to facilitate a discussion about the location, size and features of the park and the types and forms of new land uses to be permitted on the remainder of the property.
