Updates: Cheque Information and Holiday Hours


Cheque Information:

Ontario Works benefit payments generated on November 26th, 27th and 28th will be couriered.  Payments generated effective November 29th will be placed in regular mail.

Direct bank deposit is strongly encouraged, as these payments will continue to be deposited directly into bank accounts during the strike.

During the rotating job action, direct deposit statements will not be mailed out.  Statements will be available upon request through Caseworkers at each location.

Ontario Works clients must still report all changes to their circumstances, including changes in income. Statement of Income forms can be picked up/dropped off at any one of the Social Services offices, or items dropped off in any of the Social Service mailboxes (contents emptied daily):

Ontario health cards can be used at pharmacies to obtain prescription medication.
