Program Changes and Cancellations
We reserve the right to change advertised details or cancel a program when necessary. This may include rescheduling of classes due to circumstances beyond our control. Refunds will not necessarily be issued under such circumstances. We will make every effort to contact you about the cancellation and will take steps to make up the class or compensate participants for lost time.
Withdrawal and Refund Policy
If the City of London cancels a recreation program, a full credit or refund is issued.
The effective date of the withdrawal is the date the withdrawal request is received by Parks and Recreation Customer Service, regardless of whether or not the participant attended the program.
For withdrawal requests made more than 10 business days prior to the start of a program, your account will be credited in full. This applies to all programs EXCEPT summer day camps and summer swim lessons, which you can withdraw from up to 3 business days prior to the start of the program. For withdrawal requests made 10 business days or less up until the start of the first class, you will be credited 75% of the program fee. For withdrawal requests made after the first class and up until the start of the third class, you will be credited 75% of the program fee AFTER a per class fee for all program dates that have already occurred (regardless of attendance) have been deducted. Any credits can remain on an account for future programs or services. No credits or refunds will be issued after the start of the third class. All refunds will be processed back to you by way of the original method of payment. Withdrawals for medical reasons will be considered on a case by case basis. To be eligible for a credit/refund, proper documentation may be required.
Leadership Program Withdrawal Policy
This policy applies to all Aquatic Leadership Programs (Bronze Star and above), First Aid Programs and Leader in Training (LIT) Programs and is effective for all programs beginning April 1, 2019, and beyond.
- For withdrawal or transfer requests made more than 10 business days prior to the start of the program, your account will be credited in full.
- For withdrawal or transfer requests made 10 business days or less up until the start of the first class, your account will be credited 50% of the program fee.
- Requests for withdrawal or transfer beyond the start of the program will only be considered for medical reasons or on compassionate grounds, and documentation may be required and must be submitted prior to the completion of the program.
