2017 Environmentally Significant Area Projects

  • Medway Valley Heritage Forest ESA

    The City of London is in the process of implementing the trail master plan for lands located north of Fanshawe Park Road (Medway Valley Heritage Forest ESA).  In 2017, the City will be completing the first phase and launching the second phase and community engagement process for the Conservation Master Plan for ESA lands located south of Fanshawe Park Road West.   For more information contact Linda McDougall.

  • Killaly Meadows ESA

    Invasive species management initiatives are being co-ordinated. For more information please contact  Linda McDougall.

  • Sifton Bog ESA

    A boardwalk repair project will be completed in 2017.  For more information please contact James MacKay.

  • Westminster Ponds ESA

    The City is undertaking a complex restoration project to protect and enhance the ESA consistent with the Conservation Master Plan including the installation of an accessible trail, accessible boardwalk and an extensive, ecological restoration project behind the Tourism Building.

    A detailed life science inventory was completed in 2015.  There are many invasive species management initiatives being undertaken. For more information please contact Linda McDougall.

     

  • Meadowlily Woods ESA

    The City of London will be completing the first phase and then launching the Phase 2 community engagement process for the Conservation Master Plan for Meadowlily Woods ESA in 2017.  Invasive species management initiatives are also being coordinated.  For more information please contact  James Mackay.
