Mornington Area Storm Drainage Servicing

The City of London is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) to investigate alternative solutions to address storm drainage and sanitary sewer overflow conditions within the Quebec Street areas. The study is being undertaken in accordance with the Municipal Engineers Association Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process (2000, as amended in 2007, 2011, and 2015).

Why are we undertaking the study?

The existing storm drainage and sanitary infrastructure within the study area is approaching or exceeds 100 years of age, is under capacity, and requires improvements. The study will include a review of potential solutions to the capacity concerns within the existing storm drainage infrastructure and the development of a sanitary servicing strategy. Potential alternative solutions include improvements to existing infrastructure and/or the implementation of a stormwater storage facility.

How can I participate in the study?

The study team encourages you to provide input for consideration in the study. To be added to the study contact list, or provide information on existing conditions within the study area including basement flooding, please contact a member of the study team below. A Public Information Centre (PIC) will be held in spring 2018 to present more information on the study and alternatives solutions.
