The City of London is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) study for improvements to the Highbury Avenue/Hamilton Road intersection.  The City’s 2030 Smart Moves Transportation Master Plan identified several improvements to the intersection, including additional through and turning lanes on Highbury Avenue, improvements to the median on Hamilton Road and pedestrian and cyclist friendly design features.  A preferred design of the improvements will be recommended and developed in more detail as part of this Class EA study.

The study will evaluate all the options with respect to the road cross sections. Land uses, access opportunities and the property impacts will be a big factor in the evaluation of the options. The preferred design concept will be both functional and attractive in its appearance.

Public input is welcome throughout the study.  Two Public Information Centres will be held in  2015 to present the preferred alternative.  A subsequent notice will include the date, time and location of the meeting.
