The City of London is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study for the Bostwick Road realignment and the Bradley Avenue Extension subsequent to the recommendations of the City’s Smart Moves Transportation Master Plan (TMP) and Southwest Area Plan (SWAP).
Bostwick Road is a north/south arterial road that is planned to serve future developable lands in the southwest area of the City. SWAP proposes a realignment of a portion of Bostwick Road west of Wharncliffe Road.
The 2005 Bradley Avenue Extension EA study recommended two alignments be considered through the Bostwick Road intersection, pending future development plans and the completion of additional environmental inventories in the area.
The Bostwick Road EA will:
- Assess the need and justification for improvements to the Bostwick Road corridor and extension of Bradley Avenue
- Review and develop a design that will be consistent with the visions and policies of the Southwest Area Plan (SWAP) and the 2030 Transportation Master Plan
- Identify and evaluate a range of alternative solutions to accommodate existing and planned area development
