Celebrate the 2017 holiday season with the official lighting of the lights in Victoria Park on Friday, December 1, 2017. Caroling begins at 6:15 p.m. followed by the countdown to the Lighting of the Lights at 6:50 p.m.
In addition to more than 75,000 lights decorating trees in the park, there are a variety of festive displays, and don't forget Santa's Mailbox for all those good little boys and girls who need to get their wish list to the North Pole.
Victoria Park's festive decorations, displays, and outdoor skating rink are a longstanding tradition in London's celebration of the holiday season. The free skating rink is scheduled to open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., beginning Friday, December 8 (weather permitting).
“This is a proud London tradition. There’s no place like Victoria Park at Christmas. I am very much looking forward to joining so many Londoners to kick off the holiday season and celebrate all that comes with it,” said Mayor Matt Brown. “A special thanks to all the city staff and organizations who make this event possible year after year.”
Winter Wonderland lights will be on December 1 thru December 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. daily and on December 31 the lights will be on from 5:30 p.m. and remain on through the night.
The City Hall Promenade Deck located on the 12th floor of City Hall will be open to the public to view the lights nightly from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. starting Friday, December 1. The deck will be open nightly except for the following dates: December 12, 25, 26, 31 and January 1, 2018.
