Londoners of all ages, shapes and sizes are encouraged to get moving together and help London earn the title of Canada’s Most Active Community and the national prize in the ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge.
Starting today, track your physical activity using the new ParticipACTION app on your smart phone. Walk, bike, play basketball, climb stairs – it all counts! Your activity minutes will be automatically added toward London’s community score when you log them in the app.
The challenge is open to all Canadians and takes place from May 31 to June 16. The community with the most tracked hours at the end of the challenge will receive the national winner prize of $150,000 to go towards physical activity improvements. In addition to the national winner, there will also be finalists recognized from all regions of Canada who will be awarded $20,000.
