Today, Mayor Matt Brown joined staff for the official ribbon cutting and open house at the City’s new Citi Plaza location.
Located In the second floor of Citi Plaza’s south wing, 355 Wellington Street, the new location includes components of the following services:
- Social Services
- Parks and Recreation
- Housing Access Centre, Housing Services and Housing Administration
- Neighbourhood, Children and Fire Services, and
- supporting teams from Finance and Corporate Services.
The new space brings services previously available at multiple sites and floors together to one location, improving efficiency and providing Londoners with easier access to several services in one visit.
The refreshed space features one shared customer service reception staffed by each service area, and desk-side interview space for Ontario Works and Children Services’ clients.
Citi Plaza’s central location also allows for easy access from major bus routes.
“This move allows us to provide Londoners with better access to essential services,” says Mayor Matt Brown. “This means city staff can work collaboratively, side by side at one central location.”
“We’re thrilled to be able to offer City services together on one floor, one location,” says Martin Hayward, City Manager. “We have a space that is welcoming, collaborative, and through which we are able to offer better customer service to Londoners.”
Leading in public service through strategic decisions about long-term space needs and service delivery locations was identified within City Council’s Strategic Plan for the City of London 2015-2019.
