Everything requires ID nowadays. The following links are a few agencies that can help you easily get or replace ID.

Birth Certificate
You need this document if traveling to the United States by automobile.

Ontario Health Insurance Card (OHIP)
All Ontario residents must have a health card to be entitled to health care services paid for by OHIP.

Passport
If you plan on traveling outside of Canada, this document is required.

Social Insurance Number (SIN)
You need this nine digit number to receive any government benefits or to legally work in Canada.
