The purpose of this Open House is to ensure we have captured your vision and
comments for our urban forest and how it will be managed in the future. Hope to
see you there! Light refreshments will be provided.
Background
The City is working towards an Urban Forest Strategy that will identify a number
of things that need to be ‘put right’ to enable the City of London to achieve
its goals for a viable, healthy urban forest that contributes to our health and
well-being in the face of climate change, development, and other issues.
Here is a
summary of the work completed so far.
During the summer 2012 the City’s urban forestry consultant collated information
from the public, other municipalities, groups and organisations to help develop
a vision for the urban forest of the City of London. Some very good ideas were
suggested, and some very strong opinions emerged. The
results of the public
survey may be viewed here.
We also encourage you to participate in ReThink London.
