Qualifications
Vulnerable Persons Police Checks
It is necessary that each volunteer have a Vulnerable Persons Police Check
completed, satisfactory to the requirements and standards of the City of London.
Volunteers are responsible for paying for their own check ($10), and renewals (every 2
years).
It is the responsibility of staff and volunteers to monitor when their
qualifications are up for renewal. Police checks are required to be submitted
every two years (prior to the expiry date). When a check expires after the first year, volunteers will be
able to sign a letter of declaration to extend their check for one additional
year. Please note that typically it takes approximately 10-15 working days for
Police Checks to be processed (volunteers are unable to begin their position
with the City until their Police Check is on file).
Confidentiality
All volunteers are required to submit a signed Confidentiality Waiver.
Volunteers will be given the waiver at training.
