Renewal of Ed Blake Park complete

June 25, 2011 - London residents are now able to enjoy a fully revamped Ed Blake Park, and just in time for summer, thanks to a government funding partnership. Federal, provincial and municipal representatives were on hand Saturday to celebrate major improvements to the park, which is the primary green space in the community of Northeast London.

The 15th annual London Cares Curbside Food Drive exceeds its 2011 target
and surpasses the one-million pound mark!

June 19, 2011 - Thanks to the generosity, the the 15th annual London Cares Curbside Food Drive has helped to stock the shelves at the London Food Bank. The London Food Bank now has 87,300 pounds of additional food to help it through the summer months.
 

Only three days left to give generously to the Curbside Food Drive! Let’s make the 15th year our biggest year yet!

June 15, 2011 - We're halfway through the 15th annual London Cares Curbside Food Drive and the London Food Bank still needs your help! After four days, 31,230 pounds have been collected. This includes today’s Zone F donations of 7,640 pounds.

City puts postal strike contingency plans in place

June 15, 2011 - The City of London has put contingency plans in place for residents after postal service was suspended nationwide last night.

Fifteen years of curbside collection set to begin – the London Cares
Curbside Food Drive needs donations June 10 - 18

June 8, 2011 - The London Cares Curbside Food Drive  kicks off its 15th year of curbside collection this Friday. Last year 77,320 pounds were collected during the campaign. If Londoners collectively donate about 86,000 pounds of non-perishable food this year, we’ll reach our one millionth pound of food donated since the Food Drive began in 1997!

June 6, 2011 - The Corporation of the City of London today held a ceremony to announce the naming of the Charley Fox Memorial Overpass.
 

City has postal strike contingency plans in place

June 2, 2011 - The City of London has contingency plans in place for residents in the event of a national postal strike that could begin midnight Thursday June 2. Updates to these contingency plans will be posted to the city’s website at london.ca.
