Londoners come together to Clean & Green The Forest City

April 22, 2012 - The 12 Days of Cleaning wrapped up on Saturday with thousands of Londoners participating in the 17th annual London Clean & Green Community Clean Up  Thanks to the generosity and community spirit of these volunteers, between 18 and 20 tonnes of litter and garbage has been collected from boulevards, parks, neighbourhoods and river banks. will be closed to eastbound traffic beginning Wednesday, April 18.  

 

London Clean & Green celebrates 17 years with annual Community Clean Up

April 20, 2012 -  The 12 Days of Cleaning comes to a head this weekend with the annual London Clean & Green Community Cleanup Day taking place tomorrow at various locations across the city. This is our 17th annual spring cleaning and everyone is invited to come out and join in as we tidy up The Forest City.

Let it go! Recycle your electronics

April 19, 2012 -  As part of this year?s 12 Days of Cleaning supporting London Clean & Green efforts, the City of London and its partners are encouraging Londoners to "Let it Go" ? with a launch of a new promotional campaign for 2012 focused on reuse and recycling electronics.  


Calling all Businesses - help give London a makeover in only 20 minutes!

April 18, 2012 -  The City of London is calling on businesses to join the 7th annual city-wide "20 Minute London Makeover" event taking place Friday, April 20 at 2 p.m.
 

City invites everyone to ReThink London

April 18, 2012 -  On Thursday, May 3, the City of London will launch ReThink London, a year-long community conversation to develop a new master plan that will guide our city?s future over the next 20 years. To launch this important community initiative, a special evening event has been planned for all Londoners featuring guest speaker Peter Mansbridge, chief correspondent for CBC News and anchor of The National.  


Riverside Drive construction to begin Wednesday

April 13, 2012 Riverside Drive between Wilson Avenue and Ridout Street will be closed to eastbound traffic beginning Wednesday, April 18.  


CN Railway Crossing rehab to close Horton Street

April 13, 2012 -  Beginning Tuesday, April 17, Horton Street at Hamilton Road will be closed to all traffic for rehabilitation work to be carried out on the CN Railway Crossing.  


Mayor pitches in to launch The 12 Days of Cleaning

April 10, 2012 - London Mayor Joe Fontana today officially kicked-off The 12 Days of Cleaning as part of the 17th annual London Clean & Green program.
 

City Hall front circle closed due to repairs

April 4, 2012 - The front traffic circle and loading ramp at City Hall will be closed as of Thursday, April 5 for emergency repair for approximately one week.
 

NeighbourGood Guide launched to help Londoners explore neighbourhoods

April 4, 2012 - London Strengthening Neighbourhoods Task Force has unveiled the new NeighbourGood website that allows Londoners to share and access information about their neighbourhoods.
