| Londoners are very proud of their city. In fact, we
believe it's the BEST city in Canada and as Mayor of London I
am pleased to be able to tell you why. London is a caring community, a city where helping one's'
neighbour is still the norm and where community involvement and
volunteering are activities enjoyed by many. We are a diverse city
and we embrace our multicultural communities. Our distinct make up
makes us more aware of world issues, more adaptable and more
interesting.
Our people make London the BEST city.
London is a city OPEN for business. We welcome entrepreneurs
and investors because we see the potential and value in those who
see London as a place of opportunity and advancement. London offers
companies a strong and skilled workforce and this resource is
directly connected to the University of Western Ontario and Fanshawe
College, as well as local labour associations and training programs.

London is an environmentally aware and active city. Across the
board, our care of the environment is a top priority, from award
winning City lead initiatives, like the CLEAR Network to
award winning grass roots organizations like Clean and Green.
London's environmental businesses operate locally and also serve
clients world wide. In London, we walk the talk and we continue to
attract new technologies and new investment to the "green" side.
Our understanding and commitment to taking care of where we live
and learning to maximize this sector's potential, is what makes
London the BEST city.
London is a city rich in natural heritage and history. We
value both. Take a stroll along the miles of pathways and bike
trails that follow the Thames River or spend an afternoon in one of our
321 parks and green spaces and you'll get a good sense of who we
are. Our historical neighbourhoods dot the landscape with
architecture from times past and landscape design is incorporated
into our commercial, education and city sites.
Our pride in the journey we have made and our vision for tomorrow

London is a city that likes to have fun. We love art. We love
music and we love the inspired people who call our city home. Come
and enjoy our theatres, orchestra, music venues, art galleries and
artisans. Find a restaurant just suited to your taste or shop 'til
you drop in our boutiques and specialty markets. Our creative side
is everywhere and our summer festivals are packed with excitement.
In winter, you'll find we move indoors but the heat is still here.
You know, I could sing London's praises all day.

London has been my home for more than 30 years. When I travel
to other cities, either in Canada or internationally, I love to tell
people about my home, about the people who live here, about what
they value and how committed they are to making London the Best it
can be.
As London's Mayor this is the BEST part of my job.
