 Accessibility

The City of London is committed to creating an inclusive community in which our goods, services and properties are accessible to all residents and our workplace enables employees to fully achieve their potential.

In every aspect possible, the City is strategically focused on the ways and means to fully involve the participation of people with disabilities in London's economic, social and cultural life.

This commitment is demonstrated in the many measures undertaken to identify - and remove - not only physical barriers but also social obstacles which may exist.

We work with multiple organizations to enhance our facilities, increase awareness of disability issues in the workplace and promote employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Employee training on providing accessible customer service includes a video and other material developed in partnership with the Accessibility Advisory Committee,

To learn more about accessibility and inclusion at the City of London, available documents include the Corporation's annual Accessibility Plan, Customer Service Policy and Facility Accessibility Design Standards.

The City of London supports the principles set out in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) which aims to have a completely barrier free Ontario by the year 2025.
