Our City's Municipal Government
London is made up of
14 ward areas*, each represented
by one Council member. Elections occur every four years and include
a city-wide voter selection of the Mayor. Eligible voters also select
the Trustees of the elementary and secondary schools operated by
the city's four school boards:
the Thames Valley District School Board, the London District Catholic
School Board , le Conseil scolaire de district du Centre-Sud-Ouest
and le Conseil scolaire de district des ecoles catholiques du Sud-Ouest.
In order to vote in London's local elections, you must meet the
Qualifications of Electors set out in the Municipal Elections
Act, 1996. Requirements include being at least 18 years old,
a Canadian citizen and a resident of the municipality. You'll find

Candidates elected in the 2010 Municipal Election began their
four-year term of office on December 1, 2010. All
elected representatives are shown in the Official Statement
of Votes. Also available are the poll by poll results.
