Building
Permit Application Fees
By-law B-6
sets out the framework for construction, demolition and change of use permits
and inspections for the City of London. The
fee structure for each
type of permit and other services provided appears on Appendix A of the By-law.
Cash-in-Lieu of Parkland Dedication
Fees
In accordance with By-law Number CP-9 as amended effective January
1, 2011, the following rates shall apply to each dwelling unit for cash-in-lieu of parkland dedication.

Demolition Permit Application Fees
The permit fee is minimum $110.00. The permit fee
must be paid in full at the time of submitting the application.
Financial security is also required to ensure demolition work is carried out
correctly. When all work has been completed and inspected by the Building
Division, the financial security will be released. Financial security is
to be provided when submitting the application form and payment made be made by
cash, certified cheque or letter of credit. Applications for a
demolition permit require financial security as follows:
- $2,000.00 for single or semi-detached dwellings
- $1.00 per square foot of ground floor area, with a minimum of $2,000.00
to a maximum of $10,000.00 for townhouses, apartments, commercial,
institutional and industrial type buildings.
Development Charge Rates in effect effective January 1, 2013 are levied in accordance with the Development Charges
By-law C.P. 1473-212 as contribution to the cost of providing services
arising from the development of properties.

Sign & Canopy Permit Application Fees
Fees for sign and canopy permit
applications are in accordance with the
Sign & Canopy By-Law.
Site Plan Application Fees
The following
Site Plan Approval Application Fees will be applied to all applications received for site plan approval.
Water Fees
Fees for temporary connection of construction water and remote water meter installation will be charged where applicable in accordance with the
Water Rates & Charges By-law W-7.
