and/or recommendations. Present City of London Task Forces are:
Special Committees (identified below) tend to be bodies whose existence is longer
term and which often have unique reporting relationships as outlined in their
terms of reference.
Both Task Forces and Special Committees may have citizen members and, as applicable,
representation from stakeholder organizations, associations and businesses.
The City of London publicizes these opportunities for civic participation in
the decision-making process of Council in a variety of ways. This includes notices
in local media and on www.london.ca
inviting applications to serve as a member of a Task Force, Special Committee or
Advisory Committee.
The personal information contained in communications directed to City
Council and its standing and advisory committees is collected under the
authority of the Municipal Act, 2001 as amended and will be used to assist
Council and Committee Members in their deliberations. Questions about this
collection should be addressed to the City Clerk at 300 Dufferin Avenue,
London, ON N6A 4L9 or by telephone 519-661-2500 ext. 4937.
Communications addressed to City Council and to its Standing and Advisory
Committees will become part of the public record and will be placed on a
public agenda made available electronically through the City of London
internet website. The City will not accept anonymous communications sent to
Council or to its Committees.
