The Committee of Adjustment for the City of London will meet on Monday, November 13, 20017, 2017, commencing at 1:20 p.m., on the second floor of City Hall, 300 Dufferin Avenue, London, Ontario for the purpose of hearing the following applications for Minor Variance to Zoning By-law Z.-1.
1:20 p.m. – A.166/17 - 1080 Richmond Street, Pt Lot 42 S/S Regent Plan Nil, on the southeast corner of Richmond Street and Regent Street. To increase food preparation floor area in a convenience store. To increase floor area to 11.4% 23.2m² for food preparation for consumption on or off premises whereas 10% is the maximum.

1:50 p.m. – A.169/17 - 1031 Hamilton Road, Pt Lot 6 Pt Lot 7 Reg Pla 724, on the southeast corner of Hamilton Road and Meadowlily Road North. To construct an addition to an existing gas bar canopy. To permit a front yard setback of 0.0m from the ultimate road allowance whereas 15.0m is required.
2:00 p.m. – A.170/17 - 140 Devonshire Avenue, Lot 37 to 38 Plan 448, on the north side of Devonshire Avenue, east of Cathcart Street. To expand a single detached dwelling. To permit a front yard setback of 8.6m whereas 9.2m is the minimum.
2:10 p.m. – A.155/17 - 620 Marshall Street, Lot 41 Plan 229, on the north side of Marshall Street, east of Adelaide Street North. To permit a retail and educational centre and a use that is not specifically mentioned under the present zone. To permit 10% of the gross floor area for the purpose of retail and educational centre whereas a minimum of 10% retail is required. To expand the definition of Artisan Workshop to include Cricket Production Facility.

Municipal Class Environmental Assessment
The City of London is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) study to determine rehabilitation or replacement alternatives for Victoria Bridge over the Thames River on Ridout Street. The study will determine the best solution to address the general structural deterioration of the bridge and bridge widening options to accommodate all users including pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles.
The second Public Information Centre (PIC) is scheduled for Wednesday November 15, 2017 at St. James Westminster Anglican Church - 115 Askin Street from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Church parking is available off Bruce Street. Members of the public are encouraged to attend and provide comments specific to the project. The project team will be available to answer questions and provide information related to the project. This PIC will be an open house format with no formal presentation being made.

Dundas Place Flexible Street
Design Reveal Event - November 8, 2017
The City of London is redesigning four blocks of Dundas Street, from Wellington Street to Ridout Street, so the street can also serve as a people-oriented destination called “Dundas Place”. While Dundas Place will allow for vehicle access, it will also provide an exceptional pedestrian experience. It is intended to be a public amenity for those living in the downtown neighbourhood and provides space well-equipped to routinely provide programmed events to attract visitors to the downtown throughout the year. A public outreach event will be held November 8, 2017, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the London Public Library, Main Floor Flex Space, 251 Dundas Street, London. The focus of this event is to unveil the design of Dundas Place. The event will also provide information on the construction schedule and outline general expectations for the construction phase.
