Notice of Public Information Centre #5
City of London – Bus Rapid Transit System
The City of London is hosting two encore sessions of the 5th Public Information Centre for London’s Bus Rapid Transit System. You are invited to attend a session at one of the times listed below. The purpose of the encore Public Information Centre sessions is to provide another opportunity to obtain feedback from the public that will aid in the evaluation of the Bus Rapid Transit design options. All information and material being presented will be the same as that which was used in the Public Information Centre events held from December 9 – 14, 2017.
The City of London is assessing design options to minimize or mitigate impacts according to the Transit Project Assessment Process (TPAP; Ontario Regulation 231/08). TPAP is an Environmental Assessment process developed by the Province specifically for the approval of public transit projects. TPAP focuses on the assessment of potential impacts of a selected transit project, in this case the 24-km Bus Rapid Transit network as defined in the Rapid Transit Master Plan approved by City of London Council in July 2017.
Each of the Public Information Centre sessions will be a drop-in open house with formal presentation and question period. Project staff from the City and the consultant team will be available to answer questions and collect your feedback, which will be used to evaluate design options. A formal recording of all feedback and comments from the public, stakeholders and involved agencies will be included in the Environmental Project Report.
