Councillor Maureen Cassidy


Ward 5

Councillor Maureen Cassidy is currently serving her second term as London City Councillor for Ward 5.

 

Maureen serves as Chair of the Community and Protective Services Committee and is a member of the Planning and Environment Committee as well as. She sits on several local boards and commissions including Middlesex- London Health Unit Board of Health and she was a Non-Board standing committee member of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.

 

During her first term on Council, Maureen was honoured to serve as Co-Chair of the Mayor’s Advisory Panel on Poverty during its seven-month long mandate. The Panel worked extensively with the community and with local stakeholders to develop a comprehensive set of recommendations to address poverty in London Ontario.

 

Maureen is a Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal recipient for community service and a graduate of Western University with a Bachelor’s Degree in French. Maureen is actively engaged in and committed to working with the community to make London a better place for all.
