Ward 2

Shawn is currently serving his first term as Councillor for Ward 2.  Shawn has been an east London resident for over 20 years. Prior to his election he served as the full-time London constituency assistant to Member of Parliament Irene Mathyssen (London-Fanshawe) from 2006-2018 and served as a Council appointee to the city’s Committee of Adjustment from 2014-2018. Shawn has also been a familiar voice and face in local media as a content contributor on 980 CFPL Radio and community producer and host on Rogers TV London current affairs programming.

Shawn’s community leadership and involvement includes being a member and past chairperson of the Argyle Community Association, a longtime volunteer as a team manager, parent rep, and fundraiser with the London Bandits hockey association. He is also an active member of the East London Optimists, the Victory Branch Royal Canadian Legion, and 427 Wing Air Force Association.
