The downtown is London’s original neighbourhood and cultural centre. Due to the downtown’s important role within the city and its historical significance, there are many layers of policy to consider when planning for change. The Downtown Boundaries and Applicable Policies map is intended to be used as a starting point in navigating the layers of plans, guidelines and heritage conservation districts that exist downtown.
Applicable Policy Documents and Guidelines
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list and other policies may apply. It is also important to note that there are many other projects and studies currently being undertaken which could impact the downtown. These include studies such as the Downtown London Parking Strategy.
