National Tree Day

We will be giving out just over 2,000 trees this year as part of National Tree Day 2026.  This year's event will take place on September 23, 2026. 

The City of London will be giving away just over 2,000 trees to residents as part of London’s annual celebration of National Tree Day on September 23, 2026.

Residents will be able to pick from different types of native trees while supplies last. There is a limit of two trees per vehicle, on a first-come, first-serve basis.

It is important to protect and maintain newly planted trees for the first year after they’ve been planted. Residents can learn more about caring for new trees at london.ca/trees. 

The City is committed to providing accessible accommodations for residents. If you require an accommodation to obtain your tree, please email trees@london.ca.

Where: Westminster Drive near Colonel Talbot Road

When: September 23, 2026, between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.  (while supplies last)

Getting there

Our tree giveaway will be set up on Westminster Drive near Colonel Talbot Road. 

Please also note that you will not be able to turn onto Westminster Drive from Wonderland Road South. This intersection will be closed.

There is no address for the site. If you would like to set your GPS to a location, please drop use the “dropped pin” feature on Google Maps. Look for our signage pointing you into the tree giveaway.
