London is made up of
14 ward areas*, each represented by one Council member. Elections
occur every four years. The boundaries for eight of London's 14
wards changed under a by-law passed May 25, 2009. The
complete by-law
is available on our website and includes a
map showing the new
ward boundaries. The June 6, 2009 edition of Living in the City
gave
public notice notice of this by-law. The revised ward boundaries come into force on the day the new council of the City of London is organized following the regular municipal election in 2010, with the regular municipal election to be held in 2010 to be conducted as if the ward changes were already in force. |
